This machine was my very 1st acquisition and yes, I'm a Top Gun geek. That aside, this machine is a 4-wheel type model where the top spinner is designed to appear as if looking thru a gunsight at the various symbols. The machine can be played in 1, 2, or 3 coin mode. In addition, there is a selectable option to set the difficulty with an english speaking female voice saying "Easy Mode", "Normal Mode", and "Hard Mode" for each selection. As far as music/sound, when you hit the RB/BB ( regular bonus / big bonus) music from the Top Gun soundtrack kicks in. The machine is a loud one, but you don't mind when you hit the bounus rounds and that driving music starts up! The spin knob is lit up as well as the stop buttons. The font face graphics really make this your basic macho-machine since evey guy has seen the movie and it has immediate recognition-factor built in. As a first purchase, I am happy with it, and I'd recommend it as a nice addition to any exisitng collection.
