Finding pinball's to play

Post by Gman »

I live in an area scarce for arcades with pinball. The movie theaters will usually have a small arcade with one pinball machine.
The coin op laundromats also might have a pinball machine, I have played a few different titles by stopping into laundromats, funny thing to stop in a laundromat while out looking for games to play! A plus is I never had to wait in line to play pinball in a laundromat. And if kids are there there parents are usually right there as well.
The big kid arcades that have pinball neglect them and they can be in bad shape.
I have played pinball in Pizza joints also. They might have a machine in decent condition.
I only found one bar with 2 pinballs. It was located in a downtown BOB, a building with many bars and restaurants.
Some bowling alleys have coin op games, with a single pinball.

So I have found that looking in unusual places can be rewarding.

I think finding pins to play on location is almost a hobby in itself, rewarding and challenging.

This has been roughly 7yrs. ago, But when my grandfather sold his amusement company, He was purchasing less and less pins. He said it was mainly due to the fact that Arcade owners/operators really didn't give a hoot about how the machines were being treated, As long as they were making their easy cash....

My grandfather also said that he believed that adventually the arcades would slowly die off due to the younger generation being spoiled with home video games etc.

That is handy, do you have to be a member to enter? Is it called St. Georges?
