What machines do you own?

Post by JMSVERO »

I own 3 Pinball machines. Mainly because my Pachislos Take up a lot of my gaming space. Here they are:

1985 Captain Hook by Game Plan
1989 Caribbean Cruise by International Concepts (cocktail table)
1992 Black Rose by Bally
What do you own?

I made room for two Gottlieb's in my game room, the Monte Carlo, and '67 Super Score (EM)
I have a Spy Hunter setup in the garage. I can play it as soon as I get home or right before I leave.
I have a Bally Silverball Mania needing tons of work and a Williams Stellar Wars wide body project I started.
I have most of it posted here: http://gmanind.home.comcast.net/~gmanin ... meroom.htm

I have not seen all of those game room pictures of yours before. The Monte Carlo looks great. I like the Silverball Mania. I have played it before. I am going for a pirate theme. I am looking for Jolly Roger, Buccaneer and Hook.

Gman,
Have you tried www.ipdb.org (internet pinball database)?
This is a great site to find out what each pin has to offer (#players, ramps, drop targets, etc.)

Heck ya I have at least two open tabs in my browser there almost always.
Thats where I pulled the photo's of your machines from. And Scoob's as well.
IPDB is the machine database for pinball like pachislodb is the database for pachislo.
Maybe I should post this in the MAME section but they have ROM's for most of the pinballs there as well. These are free games.

A few other good sites are Clays's repair guide http://www.pinrepair.com/em/
and mr pinball classifieds. Note: most people use inflated prices on MR PB. free ads no pressure to sell because re-listing a cheaper price is free.

I own a "Jacks Open" by Gottlieb. Thanks to Ol Gman, I am going to dig it out and refurbish it, undoing the stupid things I did to it when I was 11-12.

As soon as I dig it out, I will take pics of it. If I took pics of it now, I'm afraid Gman would come down and give me a royal a$$ kicking.

He doesn't need an excuse to do that. ;)
These are my opinions and just because I am the admin you don't have to agree with me

Everyone keeps asking me the same thing. I guess when the basement/gameroom is done.

Have a few more things to get in line and then it's party time!!!!

I think that my Firepower ate it's power supply yesterday. Have some real strange voltages showing up. I thinks it's time to replace it, will be getting a Rottendog power supply. A complete re-design of the original unit and they will have a full set of driver/MPU doards out soon.

Jim @ Rottendog seems like a great guy. I never met him but he is quick with reply's to email and has made me some great offers! I had a power issue with My Twilight Zone and he said I could try his board and if it didn't correct the list of issues I had he would buy it back, thats quite an offer considering the original board burned up for a (at the time) mystery reason.
He also offered me a deal on a new but factory second board to replace the one I stole from another game to fix the TZ. The "second" would not have the power to run a TZ but should be fine to run a W?D.

FYI:
Borygard rebuilds boards, send him one he will send you a 100%working guaranteed rebuilt original.
he seems like a good guy also he knew I am needing a board before next weekend (family get together) and he offered to cross ship the board on my word I would send my junk back to him.
there are a few great people in the pinball community. many bone heads but a few good ones.
