Twilight Zone (TZ) Williams

Post by Gman »

Twilight Zone is a very cool machine. It is based on the Rod Sterling TV show and features music clips from the song The Twilight Zone by Golden Earring.
This is a 6 ball machine 5 steel and one ceramic 'powerball' that is 20% lighter and slightly bigger than a steel ball, making is extremely fast. It gets lots of air time, it regularly hops over habitrails and other features on the play field, making for some interesting ball play.
The game features a working gumball machine, mini playfield with magnets instead of flippers. It has magnets in the playfield that will grab the steel balls
at times. pausing loop shots and reversing the ball direction on occasion.
This is probably the most modded pin out there. there are several people selling brand new 'mods' or add on toys for the play field on Ebay today even though this machine was made up to 15 years ago. Entire web sites are dedicated to the mods for TZ.
With the upgraded ROM chip a few nice reatures are added, A PAUSE and MUTE are added, catch a ball on a flipper press the Extra ball button and go do your business.
also fixes all known bugs and adds an empty balls test option handy if your going to ship the machine. It has 6 ball, some in the gumball and under the apron.

This is a cool topper, The sound in the video was added not part of the topper. Tz has sounds while playing and an option for attract mode.
