Scheduled downtime.

Post by Chris »

I am going to be doing some maintenance on the website sometime over the next few days. I am not sure when I will have the time. The work should increase the speed seen when accessing the forums. Just wanted to let people know so that they won't freak out.

DITTO, but with a higher percentage of happening. I just assumed it was this old computer, or Charter's bandwidth.

Update: Of course the last two posts went quickly! It's just like having your car exhibit the same symptoms to the mechanic when you take it in.

Maintenance has been completed. Let me know if it is faster, slow or the same when trying to access the forums (reading, posting, etc).

Thanks,

Chris

Jumping around post to post, to DB & inside, and back to forum seem quicker. Uploading a post I'm not so sure about---and I'm informed we have 16+ mb/s. I'd test post more but nothing new to say.

Guess I missed it..... but seems fine to me. Sometimes a PM would take a bit to send but went quick today!

In the past when I copied the database to a new server we saw a dramatic speed increase....but not this time. Well, it was worth a try. Thanks to all who responded.
