Last Seen in posts

Added a little something to the forum last week. In each post I added a "seen" item to show when that user was last seen.
Image

I pulled the data from the user's profile. It is not entirely accurate but it gives an idea of when the last time a user visited the site. It believe it is actually the last time they logged in.

Is it useful?

Cool Chris, that's a nice addition. When I was looking thru the members database, I was shocked at how many are listed, but either never posted or just posted once. Is there a purge feature to "thin" out the file?

There is no way that I know to do that automatically. I like seeing that there are close to 3000 different people that might have found something useful on this site.

True, True. That's how I found it and the other one also. After a while, I felt more comfortable here, enjoy the banter and mostly the sharing. You got to have a laugh now and then in everything. I "DO" like not seeing a section on just humor. I feel that's a waste of space, it could be utilized more for something else, but WE have this site and more info flowing for the newbies and techies. Let the questions come, an answer will follow.

I like the last seen addition. It is interesting to see how long it has been between some member's visits.

I thought it would be helpful to see if some one asks a question and then never returns that we should just abandon the thread.

Good idea Metz but I think the database would get filled with just the information of keeping track of who read what message.

I guess I better not take a couple weeks off at a time from the site.
Great idea Chris.

Jeff,

We would never ignore you. You are family....and when you do take a few weeks off you are missed. I think of everyone who posts often as part of my pachi-family...even Metz (;) just bustin' ya Metz)

did this site help you with you problem

Perhaps we can have a poll question that asks what you want the poll question to be

Ask a question to get a question! Good thinking! :D

Forest that's a good idea to bring up. I think it's time also.
What about a poll asking if our spouse (for example) also enjoys pachislos? 'Yes', 'No', 'Tolerates'.
