Happy new year, change your batteries!

It is customary in some circles to change the backup batteries on new years day. I forgot to issue the reminder until today I am gathering up the used batteries and dropping them off to the recyclers today.
So to all with arcade machines and pinball machines, fire up those machines and change the batteries and give them a good work out!
If you change the cells while the machine is on you will not lose the high scores and settings.
An alkaline battery is prone to leak corrosive gunk if allowed to fully discharge, it is a normal chemical reaction. It is advised to change the cells once a year to avoid damaging the machines.
