I believe the coin mechanism in the older NEO machines (magic pulsar, Zetz) is different from this one

Yeah Chris, That was a PM discussion BUT I am looking at the older one and I have a feeling that they may even be interchangeable. at least from a mounting standpoint. I don't have a new mech to test the theory but who knows what Craigs list and Goodwill may bring...

I was troubleshooting my Yamasa coin mechanism, and after looking at Wayne-O's pictures I see my problem.... The little spring on the top of mine is missing. That explains why the tokens won't fall to the tray after putting 50 through the slot... they just go into the hopper. The solenoid is working, i feel it grabbing and releasing. But it just would not let the extras fall to the front.
So, does anybody have an extra spring from a bad mech laying around that they're not using?

Hit the local Harbour freight and grab a spring assortment for 4.99 best investment to have around the house...

Just use a small needle nose to mod if needed.

After dismantling the mechanism for cleaning, I noticed the spring was tucked behind the solenoid. So, it was still there! After I cleaned the mechanism, I hooked the spring back up and it is working as designed!!!

Check for lights on the mainboard when you drop them down the chute, if you do not see any you may have bad sensors OR sensors that need t be cleaned. That is the first thing I would try as long as all of the wires are connected.
